Hello!

I’m Georgina, and I specialise in supporting children and young people, particularly those aged 10 to 18, who are struggling with anxiety. Whether it’s social anxiety, generalised anxiety, school-related stress, or specific fears, I provide compassionate, evidence-based techniques to help young people navigate these challenges and build resilience for the future.

If your child is struggling with anxiety, I’m here to help. With my experience and personalised approach, we’ll work together to support them in finding calm, confidence, and clarity.

About Me.

Evidence-based approach

I combine cognitive behavioural approaches and positive psychology to provide strengths-based support tailored to children and young people. These approaches help young people to identify and manage unhelpful thinking patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and regain a sense of control over their emotions and actions. Positive psychology complements this by focusing on their strengths and fostering traits like resilience, optimism, and confidence to enhance their overall well-being.

These approaches empower young people to understand themselves better and equip them with lasting tools to navigate challenges. By building on their existing strengths and encouraging self-awareness, they not only reduce anxiety but also gain the confidence and skills needed to thrive both now and in the future.

Why I am passionate about helping young people

Supporting children and teens through anxiety is personal to me. Having worked closely with children, teens, and the adults supporting them, I’ve seen first-hand how anxiety can impact not only learning but also friendships, family life, and self-esteem. I understand how overwhelming it can feel—for both young people and their parents.

Although it was a while ago, I experienced my fair share of teenage emotions and understand how important it is for young people to feel understood and supported during these formative times. These experiences have driven my passion to offer practical, compassionate support that makes a real difference. My goal is to provide young people with the skills they need to feel empowered, capable, and hopeful about the future.

Experience

I have over a decade of experience working with children, young people, and the adults who support them. This includes teaching in schools, delivering training for professionals supporting children with SEND, and running programmes designed to build resilience and well-being through physical activity. This wealth of experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges young people face and the tools they need to thrive. It’s also shaped my strengths-based approach, helping children and teens develop confidence, resilience, and lasting strategies for managing anxiety and other challenges.

Professional Affiliations

I am proud to be a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), which reflects my academic achievements and commitment to upholding the highest standards in psychology. As a qualified teacher, I have extensive experience working with children and young people, both in the classroom and through training and support for professionals working in education.

I am also a member of the Institute of Child Psychology, which aligns with my passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents. Additionally, I am a member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP), demonstrating my dedication to providing evidence-based therapeutic approaches that are tailored to each individual’s needs. These affiliations ensure I stay informed about the latest research and best practices in my work with young people and their families.

On a personal note

Outside of my work, I’m a proud mum to two teenage boys, so I truly understand the highs and lows of parenting during these formative years.

I’m also passionate about health and fitness—I’m a qualified personal trainer and swimming teacher - and promote a holistic approach to mental wellbeing through good nutrition, physical movement, and connection with nature.  I love a bit of Amateur Dramatics and find this a great release for my playfulness and enthusiasm.
